TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Director of Music Theatre Performance Western Michigan University 2004 - Present
  Teach and administer a BFA training program in music theaatre performance. Determine curriculum, structure course content, teach classes in music theatre perdformance, acting, auditioning, history, script analysis, and direct and choreograph productions.  
         
Artist in Residence   University of South Carolina 2002
  Artist in residence to direct Sophocles’ ANTIGONE, lecture on adapting classical literature for the stage, offer workshops in pursuing professional careers, and mentor graduate directing students.  
         
Director of Education/Instructor   Burt Reynolds Institute 1995 - 1997
  Administrated professional theatre Intern Program.  Developed and taught graduate-level acting courses for professional training program.  Direct several mainstage productions and supervise intern black-box productions. Courses Taught: Acting, Music Theatre Song Interpretation, Directing, Playwrighting  
         
Assistant Professor Wagner College 1991 - 1992
  Teach classes in various levels of Acting, Directing, Audition Techniques and Intro to Communications.  Advise/coordinate student directed projects.  Direct two mainstage shows.

 Producing Artistic Director Clinton Area Showboat Theatre 1997 - 2006
  Select summer season of plays, musicals and theatre-for-children.  Cast/staff and produce season.  Direct and choreograph three of the shows.  Responsible for all artistic elements of season.  Work closely with active board to develop community resources.  
         
Education/Casting Director Burt Reynolds Insitute for theatre training 1997 - 1999
  Work closely with BRIT resident company on performance projects.  Administer classes and teach workshops in acting, directing and writing.  Direct several main-stage as well as intern productions. Cast mainstage productions in NYC.  
         
Artistic Director Music Theater North 1995 - 1996
  Cast and staff a large scale summer musical season out of New York City.  Responsible for hiring and supervising all artistic staff.  Direct and/or choreograph three shows per season.  Participate in fundraising activities.  
         
Associate Artistic Director Green Mountain Guild 1990 - 1994
  Cast and staff five seasons at the Killington Playhouse and a touring children's' theatre company.  Develop new works directly with artists and evaluate scripts.  Provide dramturgical support for season.  Direct at least two shows.  
         
Production/Company Manager Theatre for a New Audience 1990 - 1991
  Coordinate and manage all aspects of production for an Off-B'way theater company.  Establish and facilitate budget, payroll, hiring and all needs of a large production and artistic staff  with a budget of $800,000.

THE CURE FOR LOVE:  Comedy based on the Alexander Dumas novel Fernande.
WHAT A GLORIOUS FEELING: A musical about the making of the film Singing in the Rain.
MATA HARI: Rock opera based on the life of the enigmatic dancer and spy with music by David Ogrin.
THE RIGHT TO PRIVACY:  An intense political drama concerning a fictional Supreme Court case.
SHERWOOD FOREST:  A pop musical based on Robin Hood with music and lyrics by Jeffrey Epstein.
BELLISSIMA:  A musical based on the 1950 Visconti Film by the same title with music by Linda Dowdell.
